so the board exams...ugh.
They are interesting. It's surprising how much cheating goes on....
We only have three more exams, Yoga Theory, Science and Punjab History and Culture B. After that it's packing, one more town leave and home!!
We are leaving Sunday morning after sewa. It's going to be something like a 10 hour bus ride to Delhi, probably more because we'll stop for food, and then our flight leaves around 9:30am on Monday morning. Crazy...in a week I'll be almost home....I can almost smell the nachos!

Of course I'm more excited to see my family...I was just joking!
It's gonna be really strange...

everything feels really surreal. It will probably feel even more so when I wake up the first day in my own bed. I'm gonna wonder if this was just all a dream, "did this year even happen?" I'll ask myself. Then I'll look at my floor adn see my huge duffle bags which look as if they have exploded on my floor and think that maybe I'm not as crazy as I thought I was and realize that maybe it all was real.

Gtg study.

Punjabi Exam

So I just finished my second board exam, Punjabi. It actually isn't as skary as all the teachers make it out to be. I think I would have just passed but the teachers were helping us a TON so I think I'll do really good.
:)
My eyes are getting tired from staring at the screen for so long...time to go cram for Social Studies tomorrow!!

It's been a little while since I last wrote anything. That is because I have been busy studying/procrastinating for the board exams which started today!! If I haven't already mentioned, and for those who don't know, the board exams are like having an SAT in each subject. Yes, each one is 3 hours long and we have 9 of them. Altogether that is 27 hours of sitting in a classroom for the next week and a half scribbling, half staring off into space because you are so tired, on a packet of paper with a ballpoint blue pen, pulling useless information out of my temporary memory, which I'm going to forget in a few days anyway. Of course you can leave after the first half hour which about 1/3 of my class did today. I was one of the last 4 people and I stayed for 2 hours, 40 minutes.

Today was our English exam. I think I actually did pretty good. I wasn't really worried for this one. It was annoying though because the Punjab Board makes our exam and they put 3 questions on there about stories and vocabulary that we didn't cover in our syllibus so Kirin, the vice principal said she would write the board and tell them to not count those or somthing. The exam officially ended at 12 and we are free free free for the rest of the day...well actually not really because now I have to go cram for my next exam tommorrow which is Punjabi, then Social Studies, Art and Punjab History and Culture A. on saturday(sunday off yess...and yes, there is a PH&C B.)

It is annoying because for some subjects they begin studying for them in 9th grade and I skipped last year so I missed out on all that stuff they learned last year which means that in subjects like Math, Social Studies, PH&C, Physics and Bio I am behind and they only gave me packets with the info I missed less than a week ago. There is this workbook in science that has all these experiments that go along with things that we learned in our science classes which we never did when we were actually learning the stuff. We had to come in on saturday (at least for one of them) and do a practical (experiment) and copy down the observations, purpose, diagram, etc. from one part of the book, to the second half of the book, which is black for just that purpose. The thing is....we were supposto copy around 10 of those which took hours and we only actually did 3 of the experiments so for the other ones all we were doing was copying some words from one part of the book to the other and we had to leave the observations part blank! Also it is worth 20 points in our science exam. I just think it's silly. Mostly just because they crammed it on us at the end of the year when we could have gradually done them in class.

Sorry I am being really negative right now! There is one excellent thing about today..............................it's raining!!!!

Also there are less than 20 days left before we go home!!! I can officially say that I am going home next week!!! Unbelievable. Also our 40 day sewa ends this Sunday....that is actually sad, I love sewa.

Time for me to go study with Lakminder, the Social Studies teacher!
