I am a...dun dun duhhhh.......NARCOLEPTIC PERSON!!! I thought it was soo funny. We all had a sort of fashion show with our costumes and you could do a little skit or dance. When it was my turn I went out there and I said really excitedly..."Hi my name is Gurunam and I'm narcol...!" It stops because that is the point that I collapsed to the floor...asleep. I really thought it was hillarious but most people didn't get what I was saying so they were like...huh
what is she?

Amrit was a
flower girl/garden faerie/hippie person.
Simrit was that freaky girl from The Ring. It was soo
perfect for her. Doesn't she look skary? Everyone was like wow awesome costume.
Delhi!!!!
Guru Parkash and I on the bus in Delhi on our way to go shopping! I like how in this picture the sun is shining across my face.
The soccer girls!! I'm on the left..Amrit is on the right in front and kartar is 3rd from teh left in front.
Here is Kartar in Delhi. That is Bibi in the red suit and Kash from Eugene in the green. This was taken right before we played the American Embassy.

The soccer girls and bball boys left to go.........
to Delhi from Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon to play the American Embassy School. The American Embassy is really nice for India...the grounds are good...the insides of the school look exactly like America...they had a bunch of stuff imported for their school...even the grass on the soccer field was imported from like Virginia or something, well actually I doubt that..but anyway, my point---their school is really nice.
So we got there late Tursday night...and went to sleep. I was in a room in the hotel with Guru Parkash L.A. and Siri Dharma. Amrit was in a room with Guru Parkash from Eugene! I think Kartar was in a room with Bibi and Amrit Millis.
Friday we went shopping a little bit...I bought a suit fabric and a bag. Then in the afternoon we had a game against an Indian team at the American Embassy. We lost like 5 to 3 or something. We kinda underestimated that team but it was a good learning experience. Then we went to Flavors, this really good Italian resurant. The food there was like in America, I swear we all stuffed ourselves. For dessert I had a small cheesecake, 2 chocolate moouses, a cold coffie, some chocolate cake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. For dinner I had baked ziti noodles with brocoli and spiniach and tons of cheese on top..mmmm.
saturday we were up early because we had a game against the jr. varsity team at 8:30am. We beat them 8 to 0! That game was awesome. We had two senior guys coaching us, Guru Amrit S., from Portland and Har Rai S., from Alaska. Halfway through the game they left us to go play their bbal game against the A.E. It was ok because we were already winning by 6 points. We had Amrit Singh to be our coach. It was funny, he mixed everyone up in the last 20 minutes. It was fine, we all had fun.
After that game we hung around the embassy, ate pakoras and chai in their dining hall, checked our email in their library and cheered the MPA guys on durring their game. At 11 or 12 we had our last game. This was it. We were playing their Varsity team. The game was really good. We started out strong, I think we made the first goal quickly...but then we started slacking. At half time I think the score was 7 to 2. At halftime we had an inspiring speech from Amrit Singh and we did archer pose for 6 minutes. I think that is what really helped us. For those of you who don't know what archer pose is...it is where you stand, legs about double shoulder width apart and put your arms up like you are about to let go of the string of a bow. One of your feet is turned pointing to the side, which is the direction you are shooting your "arrow" in. You lean forward a little and stare past your outstreatched arm into the horison. Hold for 3 minutes and repeate on the opposite side.
It was really powerful for us. It helped us become more focused and calm. The score for just the second half was tied 1,1. At the end of the game I almost scored a goal...it was just me and the goalie. I was running so fast but not fast enought becasue she caught the ball before I could speed up and dodge past her. After the game Amrit Singh bought us all Gatorades.
Sunday...Guru Parkash accidentally forgot to wake me up at 7:30 to go shopping to the market where you can buy all the american food. I was a little disapointed but she gave me some food.
:D
I hung out with Siri Dharma that morning. We had the breakfast downstairs in the hotel resturant. It was subjee, eggs, corn flakes, toast, yoghurt, potatoes, roti, coffie, yucky juice and something else. After everyone got back from shopping we all packed and hauled into the rental bus. We drove an hour to a small outdoor mall-type place that was mostly resurants and cafes. They had Barista, McDonalds, Subway and a bunch of other places. I got a caramel coffie at Barista but they put so much caramel in it...thats all I was drinking!
After that we went to this other mall which was all these american stores where things were really expensive. I got some subway samwiches there but by the time i had gotten up to the counter they didn't have any more mustard...that is soooo Indian! Actually it was probably because a bunch of other people from mpa were also ordering tons of subway to bring back to people at the school.
On the train I watched Mean Girls and the Sweetest Thing. It was fun. We got back late and I stayed up even later, probably until 1am!
Bottom line....Delhi is awesome!!!
now i must go to bed!
